Starting October 4th, Sallie Marcant, Steve Romanshek, and myself (AnnaMary Richmond) are biking from San Diego to the Atlantic coast to raise money for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society. After 3,000 miles, we will have raised money for research, had an amazing adventure, and honored and remembered those affected with Multiple Sclerosis.
We are doing this trip in memory of my dad, David Richmond, who passed away in May of 2010. He had MS for over 15 years. At the end of our trip, we hope to visit Arlington National Cemetery to pay respect to my dad’s final resting place. I think he would be pretty proud of all that our team has done and all that we will continue to do during this trip.
We are also biking in honor of Steve’s grandmother, Beverly Jones, who currently deals with Multiple Sclerosis. So many people are affected by MS; I’m so excited that our efforts will be making a difference in the lives of such a large population—more $$ for more research to end MS!!
